Rückblick auf die APAC Rail 2026 in Bangkok
CyberShield was represented at APAC Rail 2026 in Bangkok at the German Pavilion. Christian Schlehuber was on site for CyberShield and gathered many valuable impressions from the international railway industry and the APAC market during the event.
The trade fair was intense, but extremely valuable: many good discussions, new contacts, interesting perspectives and a clear confirmation that cybersecurity has become a serious topic across the railway industry in the APAC region.
What stood out in particular was the very different level of maturity across the market. Some organisations are already approaching railway cybersecurity with a strong engineering and lifecycle perspective. Others are only now beginning to face the growing pressure from modern project requirements, supply-chain expectations and regulatory developments such as the Cyber Resilience Act.
One thing became very clear in many conversations: cybersecurity requirements are no longer limited to “nice to have” compliance activities. They are increasingly becoming a prerequisite for international projects, export capability and long-term market access.
Particularly interesting discussions included topics such as:
- IEC 62443, CLC/TS 50701 and IEC 63452
- Cybersecurity engineering for railway systems
- Security assurance and testing
- Implications of the Cyber Resilience Act for manufacturers and suppliers
Beyond the technical topics, APAC Rail was also a very good opportunity to reconnect with existing partners and to start discussions about potential future collaborations and partnerships.
A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the German Pavilion and took the time for professional exchange.
CyberShield is taking many new impressions, ideas and concrete follow-up topics from Bangkok. We look forward to the next discussions, projects and events.
